Lakeshore Dental Office

A new dental office located on Lakeshore Blvd in Toronto was designed to provide a non-clinical aesthetic quality to its patients.

The design intent was to create an ambiance that aids in promoting a positive experience in dental care especially for children. A warm and comfortable environment was created by capitalizing on the expansive windows to the exterior and the playful use of materials and forms. 

Through playful use of form, challenges related to spatial constraints, including limiting distances from the xray machines, health and safety requirements for lead and sterilization, and circulation of both patient and staff, were resolved. The result is experienced as a cohesive and harmonious whole.
