The project called for a Historical restoration of the finishes of the existing Great Hall, ante-rooms, VIP lounge, and grand staircase. The authentically reproduced finishes include the restoration of the elaborate ornamental plaster ceiling and the replacement of the wall fabric and paper, paint and yarn trim.
The restoration required research and the careful selection of materials authentic to the original construction. To obtain a clear understanding and knowledge of the materials, a great deal of time was spent on site learning about the various types, and characteristics of each item and understanding their fastening systems. This information was then used to specify the same type of products to create newly restored spaces at the Hall.
