No Regrets Restaurant
No Regrets Restaurant, once located in the King-Dufferin area of Toronto was situated in a two storey existing former industrial warehouse. Upon entering through the front door, one’s view of the interior of the restaurant is blocked by a continuous horizontal wood slatted screen element that connects the ground floor and second floor spaces alongside a wide wooden and steel stair. The grand stair leads the visitor toward the open kitchen, where emphasis is placed on the chef and the act of cooking. A series of translucent screens subtly divide the spaces at both levels. The multi-purpose space is transformed from a restaurant during the day to a bar at night.
