Alex is a principal of the firm and joined Bortolotto in 2003. With over 15 years of experience in the industry, Alex has an exceptional understanding of building envelope, building technologies and system integration, architectural detailing, and heritage restoration. Alex brings his nurturing nature to work every day in and outside of the office; as a mentor as well as through his attentive approach to others’ needs.
Alex studied Architecture at the University of Toronto and at Ryerson University. Alex transforms innovative, sustainable and technical designs into an atmosphere that uplifts the human experience and promotes a state of well-being. Alex is the lead project architect on the Rosalie Sharp Pavilion at OCAD University as well as Student Central at Lakehead University, the revitalization of the Allandale Train Station in Barrie and the restoration work at Victoria University in the University of Toronto.
